Everyone is talking about the AI Act
“Who signs this off?” sounds like the governance question. The more awkward one is: will anyone still know in six months what you agreed? Why governance takes shape while you build, not afterwards.
BI conversations used to start with metrics. Today they more and more often start with a different question: where is our data? Not with every customer. But for public administration, healthcare or financial services, it is no longer a minor detail on the side. It is the very first question.
Structuring data, modelling it and translating it into decisions has been our craft at AIC Group since 1999. And these are exactly the standards by which we choose our partners. We have two selected partnerships in BI, decisions we made deliberately.
The first: Strategy has always relied on a centrally managed, semantic data model, the architecture we believe is right for reliable decisions. What long counted as tedious groundwork now determines how reliable AI queries on company data are: an assistant is only as good as the definitions it draws on.
We have worked with this platform for more than 25 years, for many years as a Premium Partner.
We made the second decision by the same standards: STACKIT, the European hyperscaler from the Schwarz group. Data centres in Germany and Austria, European law. Because for many of our customers, data that stays in Europe is no longer a matter of taste. It is a requirement.
The fact that Strategy runs its Sovereign European Cloud on STACKIT matches our own standard, and it makes the path straightforward for our customers: we take them there, from migrating out of existing on-premises environments through modelling to managed operation.
What does that change in practice? Existing customers with their own on-premises environment have a way into the cloud without changing vendor. Regulated customers get an answer to their first question before the second one is asked. And anyone starting with BI today can settle the data question from the outset instead of repairing it later.
Our new website presents both partnerships in one place, Strategy and STACKIT. And if the question of where your data sits is on your own desk right now, feel free to write to me at meetme@aicgroup.de

“Are we ready for AI?” is the wrong question. The right one: are the foundations in place for a first agent? Three testable facets of readiness, from our own practice.

What happens when the AI agent becomes the most convenient colleague? On the quiet crowding-out of human collaboration, and how we deliberately push back.
